Interesting listening week
I've come across a few new CDs this week.
Okkervil River - The Stand In's the bands latest album which I'm just beginning to get into and also Of Montreals - Satanic Twins which is remixes of their Satanic Panic in the Attic album, it includes a beautiful version of Disconnect the Dots (Mixel Pixel) and my personal favourite a techno dance floor filler remix Climb the Ladder (Rory Phillips Trash UK remix). Other recent acquisitions include The Young Knives - Superabundance, which I highly recommend and We Started Nothing by the Ting Ting's.

Bedroom 747

You would never guess the things that go on in the homes around you. This story is a bit old but its new to me.
John Davis spent eight years and 15,000 building a Boeing 747 flight simulator in a room in his house. And now the 47-year-old's hobby has turned into such a full-time occupation that he has jacked in his job as a graphic designer to run a full-time flight simulation business from his home in Coventry, UK

Flock the social browser

I have just started using Flock the web browser based on Firefox that is aimed at internet users who are into social network sites, blogging and media sites. The regular browser also boasts a media bar show and upload your images on accounts such as Photobucket & Picasa. A drag & drop web clipboard and blog editor which works with services such as Blogger, TypePad, WordPress and any self hosted blogs. It also shows posts from network sites such as Digg, Twitter, Flickr and Facebook.
